How do hurricanes affect people?

They affect people by destroying homes, families, and deaths. In some cases the salt could be a very big factor in the deaths. People get so much salt in there system from the sea water that they just die. The salt also kills the trees, which is bad because we need plants to survive in the world. The good thing about that is the trees can grow back, thank goodness. Hurricane Wilma was on an island and killed all of the trees on the entire island all because of the salt. Hurricanes ruin lives very easily and fast.
